and beyond.

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." James 4:13-15

I found verse this sometime last week. God is certainly trying to tell me something through it, because I have been worrying and wondering about next year. Do I stay? Do I go to another country? Back to the States?
After reading and returning to these verses, I understand that I'm not supposed to know right now. I wont know until I know, and that is okay. In fact, it's better. If I knew, I would always be living with one eye on the future, instead of giving my 100% here.

So, just to inform you. (Whoever you may be who still reads this blog...)
I could be here another year. I could not. I could be here forever. I could move to Calcutta and work with orphans and widows. (
Okay, maybe not on the last one...but you never know.) The point is, I'm going to have to give up the control once and for all and just ride this ride.
That's actually a pretty exciting thought, isn't it?

You'll be great, whatever you do! No matter what, you will be glorifying God with your life!
I love you so much! Have fun and be safe!

Oh and I'm reading James right now too!!! (It's got so much insight! hehe)

  2. That's so much of what I've been dealing with God on in the past few weeks. I'm certain that He's on me about laying down my need for control and desire to know what I'm doing next.
Definitely in the same boat..but right now it's great just waiting on Him for He knows the plans and I'm sure I'll know in due time.
Love you loads girl! Praying for you and those beautiful students of yours!

  3. Amen! Amen amen amen!

Whenever anyone asks about my future and if I will be living in Honduras next year, and I always say that I will be here indefinitely. I don't know what the future holds for me, but until God tells me to move from here I'm going to stay put.

I'm so proud of you and I talk about you constantly. Keep me updated on your life, because mine is surely lacking when I don't get to hear from you.

It sounds like the Lord wants to do your worrying for you. Good idea. If you allow that to happen you probably will not have as many grey hairs as I have. I should have given him some of my worries? I not sure how to spell it but I have done alot of it in my day.
    Best Wishes
